HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) has announced the 2023 women's tennis end of year awards with senior Eva Morales representing Trine University.
Morales makes the first appearance on All-MIAA second team of her career. She becomes the third member of the program to earn the honor and the fifth to earn place on either of the All-MIAA teams.
The senior earned her spot on the all-conference award on the back of a solid season especially during MIAA play where she competed in the top singles matches. She finished her seven MIAA competitions with a 3-4 record in singles while also going 3-4 in number three doubles with her partner Lizzie Welker.
Overall, she finished the season with a 6-12 record in singles matches while going 7-11 in doubles with multiple different partners. Morales ends her career tied for 25th most single wins in program history.
The Thunder as a whole finished the season 11-7 overall and 3-4 in MIAA play. They finished the conference season in fifth, missing out on postseason play by just one spot.
