Women's Tennis Falls to Cornerstone

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Trine University women's tennis team fell to Cornerstone University on the second day of their spring break trip. The Golden Eagles swept the contest 9-0.

The closest match of the day came at the start with the doubles team of Elina Locane and Alexis Maloney losing a tight contest in the No. 1 match by the score of 8-6. From there Cornerstone pulled away, winning the rest of the matches with just one or two points for the Thunder.

Trine falls to 5-3 following the loss. They will continue their season tomorrow, Wednesday, March 6 when they face St. John Fisher University at 7:30 a.m. That match is set to be played at the USTA Campus in Orlando, Fla.
