ORLANDO, Fla. – The Trine University women's tennis team lost their final match of spring break against Wittenberg University by the score of 9-0.
The Thunder took the courts for the fifth time in four days to compete against the Tigers, and the mileage showed in their play. The closest match of the doubles portion came at No. 2 where Emilee Bassett and Haley Straub lost by the score of 8-5.
As the dual continued Wittenberg pulled away individually. The closest set of the singles came in the No. 1 match where Elina Locane fell with scores of 6-4, 6-0.
Trine falls to 6-4 overall after the loss. They will return home for their next match, hosting Manchester University on Tuesday, March 12. That dual is set to start at 4 p.m.
