King Sets School-Record at National Championships

LINCOLN, NEB.-- Trine's Trisha King turned in school-record performances to advance to the championship race at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

King (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold) broke her own school-record by over a second in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:12.26 to qualify for the National Championship race. The performance was good enough to earn King All-American status for the first-time in her Thunder career. She placed second in her heat of the preliminary. The championship of the 800 Meter Run will be held at tomorrow at 3:45 p.m. CST.

The National Championship races are being held at University of Nebraksa's Devaney Sports Center, with Nebraska Wesleyan serving as the host. The 2014 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships conclude with tomorrow's events.
