ADA, Ohio-- Trine's Kara Eck set a school-record in the Weight Throw at Ohio Northern University's Last-Chance Qualifier Saturday afternoon.
Eck (Auburn, Ind./DeKalb) turned in a throw of 57 feet, 3.75 inches to beat her old school-mark by nearly two feet. The throw was good enough for first in the event. Eck's performance in the Weight Throw is seventh overall in the nation at the time of writing and likely good enough for a trip to next weekend's NCAA Division III National Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Trine's qualifying performers for the National Championships will be announced Monday.
