ATLANTA, Ga. -- Trine's Kelsey Ortiz and Jenn Steyer notched third-place finishes Friday at the Emory Invitational.
Ortiz (Swanton, Ohio / Anthony Wayne) ran a time of 39:31.47 to earn her placing in the 10,000-meter run. Her time was three seconds off her personal-record pace. Her performance came in a field of 14 runners.
Steyer (Fenton, Mich. / Lake Fenton) unleashed a throw of 44.93 meters (147 feet, 4.75 inches) in her performance. Steyer's efforts came in a field of 43 competitors.
The Emory Invitational concludes with the bulk of events taking place tomorrow.
