GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—The Trine women's track team competed at the Al Owens Classic on Saturday at Grand Valley University.
Kyla Binfet (West Yellowstone, Mont./ West Yellowstone) turned in a personal best in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase taking second with a time of 11:32.88.
Kelsey Ortiz (Swanton, Ohio/Anthony Wayne) took 12th in the 5000 meter run at 18:55.86; her top outdoor time of the year.
Trine's 4x400 meter relay took seventh. Running for the Thunder were Jensyn Garrow (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold), Rebecca Florda (Greenfield, Ind./Greenfield Central), Kaylyn Forrest (Cassopolis, Mich./Ross-Beaty) and Ashlyn Maskow (Howe, Ind./Lakeland).
The Thunder returns to action April 27 through 29 at the Hillsdale GINA Relays.
