Hannah Oberdiek Joins Trine Cross Country and Track & Field Coaching Staff

ANGOLA, IND.  --  The Trine University Athletic Department welcomes Hannah Oberdiek to the Thunder cross country and track & field programs as an assistant coach.

Oberdiek graduated from Truman State (Mo.) University in the spring of 2019 where she earned a Bachelor's degree in exercise science and had a successul athletic career as a member of the track and field team.  

During her four years at Truman State, Oberdiek was a tough competitor in the long jump. She finished runner up at her final three conference championships of her career and secured a third place finish her freshman year. Oberdiek earned All-Region honors in 2018 when she set a new PR to become the third best mark in the Midwest region. Oberdiek not only was successful in her sport, but in the classroom as well. She was awarded the USTFCCCA All-Academic award two times, meaning that she hit the national provisional mark in long jump and had an outstanding GPA. At the end of her jumping career, Oberdiek was named "Female Athlete of the Year" at Truman State.

While juggling full time student status and her own athletic career, Oberdiek successfully coached multiple long and triple jumpers who became runner up state champions in their respective events.

Oberdiek was a high school standout at South Callaway earning three state championship titles; two in the long jump and one in the 4x100 meter relay.

Oberdiek is currently working towards her Masters of Education in positive coaching from the University of Missouri.
