SOUTH BEND, IND. -- Trine University's Evie Bultemeyer (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) competed this past weekend in the Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by the University of Notre Dame and improved her own school-record in the 800-meter run.
Bultemeyer finished 14th overall among a field of primarily NCAA Division I athletes and ran a time of 2:11.18. Her mark improves her own all-time record of 2:11.96 which she set just over a week ago at the Grand Valley State University "Big Meet."
In addition, her event time also ranks as the third fastest in Division III this season (converted to 2:12.69 due to track size).
The Trine men's and women's track & field teams will be in action on Saturday, Feb. 29 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Indoor Championship hosted by Trine. The first events of the day are set to start at 10 a.m. at the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center.
