Trine Elevated Back into the Top 10 Nationally

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Trine University women's track and field team has returned to the top 10 in ninth for the week seven United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Rating Index.

The Thunder placed third at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Outdoor Championships last week, with seven event wins. Haley Livingston [Fort Worth, Texas / Everman] led the way with four victories, including the long jump, triple jump, 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles. Evie Miller [Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead] topped the leaderboard in the 1500-meter run and 10000-meter run at the championships and Valerie Obear [Fishers, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern] had the best hammer throw in the league.

All three student-athletes are currently looking to advance to the NCAA DIII Outdoor National Championships at The SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
