NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Trine University women's track and field team has been ranked 13th entering the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships this weekend by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The week nine National Rating Index saw the Thunder fall a few spots, but two student-athletes have qualified for the national championships. Evie Miller [Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead] will be competing in the 3000-meter steeplechase and 5000-meter run events while Valerie Obear [Fishers, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern] will throw in the hammer and discus field events.
Obear's discus event takes place on Thursday, May 26 beginning at 1 pm and Miller has the 3000-meter steeplechase prelims at 7:10 pm Thursday to begin her championship event.
