Throwers and Pole Vaulters Open 2022-23 Season at Defiance

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Trine University women's track and field opened up the 2022-23 indoor season at Defiance College on Friday night.

The Thunder sent their throwers and pole vaulters to compete and had multiple student-athletes tally quality scores in their events. In the pole vault, four tied for the top spot from Trine: junior Andrea Rodeheffer, freshman Jordan Baer, freshman Avery Boyce and sophomore Morgan Moslow all cleared a height of 2.89 meters (9' 5.75") and freshman Megan Large was just behind with a height of 2.74 meters (8' 11.75").

Senior Madelyn Summers was the lone Thunder athlete to take part in the shot put and weight throw, and she placed second overall in each event. She threw 11.65 meters (38' 2.75") in the shot put and 13.38 meters (43' 10.75") in the weight throw.
