Seth Ware was named Assistant Track & Field coach in the fall of 2015. He has completed USATF Level 2 certifications for Sprints, Hurdles, & Relays as well as the Jumps, and has a USTFCCCA Strength & Conditioning certification. During the Summer of 2023 he attended the prestigious USATF Emerging Elite Coaches Camp for the Sprints & Hurdles. Additionally, Ware is a USATF Official and has completed coursework in Sports Psychology & Injury Management from the USTFCCCA Track & Field Coaches Academy.

Throughout Ware’s 8 years on staff, he has coached a variety of events including the Sprints, Hurdles, Jumps & Javelin. Over the last 5 years his primary responsibilities have been the Sprint & Hurdle events; Ware’s athletes have garnered 33 MIAA Individual Championships, 21 USTFCCCA All-Region honors, 10 NCAA Individual Qualifiers, 8 NCAA All-Americans including two National Runner-Ups (M LJ, M 110H) and a National Champion (M 400H). Ware has been recognized as the USTFCCCA Men’s Regional Assistant Coach of the Year for the Great Lakes region 3x (Outdoors: 2021,2022 & Indoors: 2022). During Ware’s first 3 years on staff, he was an assistant for the Sprint/Hurdle & Jumps group which produced 32 MIAA Champions, 17 USTFCCCA All Region honors, 4 NCAA Qualifiers, and 2 NCAA All-Americans.

During the 2022-23 Ware’s coaching duties expanded to include the Jumps in addition to the Sprints & hurdles. During the indoor campaign the Men captured their 4^th consecutive MIAA Championship. The sprints, hurdles & jumps contributed two event champions, Jake Gladieux continued his MIAA success winning his 4^th 60H title & Ethan Spahr won his first MIAA crown in the Long Jump. Greyson Spohn (60H, HJ) and Gladieux(60H) were both recognized as USTFCCCA All-Region during the indoor season. Nationally the 60H group of (Gladieux, Spohn, Evan Selby, Eli Early) combined to rank 10^th in the USTFCCCA Event Squad rankings. Gladieux was the lone Thunder athlete to qualify for NCAA Indoor nationals where he finished 3^rd in the 60H. On the Women’s side Mackenzie Miller & Brynn Mericle were both MIAA runners-up in the 60m & 60H respectively. Haley Livingston & Emma Forker were both recognized as USTFCCCA All-Region performers in the LJ. The outdoor season again brought success for the Thunder men, winning their 3^rd straight MIAA title. Highlighted by the 1,2,3,5 finish by the 110H group of Gladieux, Spohn, Selby, Kanaan Jewett. That same quartet would finish 8^th nationally in the USTFCCCA Event Squad rankings. Gladieux again returned to the NCAA Outdoor championships in the 110H & 400H. He would go on to finish national runner-up in the 110H, and 4^th in the 400H to bring his All-American accolades to 6 total.

The 2021-22 season Trine Sprint & Hurdle athletes were again an integral part of multiple MIAA Championships. The Indoor season saw the Men capture their 3^rd consecutive MIAA crown while the Women won their 2^nd in program history. On the Men’s side Trine placed 4 athletes within the top 8 of the 60, 200, 60H, and 3 athletes in the 400. This included MIAA event champions in the 60H & 400m Dash. On the National stage Jake Gladieux garnered All-American honors in the 60H. On the Women’s side sprinters accounted for 40 of the 173-pts including a MIAA event champion in the 60H. Haley Livingston received USTFCCCA All Region honors in the 60H. The outdoor campaign saw the Men capture their 2^nd consecutive MIAA Championship, with the sprinters collecting 3 MIAA event champions in the 110H, 400H, and 4x100m relay. Trine again scored 3 or more athletes in the 100, 200, 400H and a 1-2-3 sweep of the 110H. Jake Gladieux again returned to the National meet in both the 110H & 400H where he earned All-American honors in the 110H. The women’s sprinters collected MIAA Event winners in the 100H & 400H enroute to a 3^rd place team finish. Haley Livingston was again recognized with USTFCCCA All region honors in the 100H.

The 2020-21 season saw the Thunder sprint squad continue their success. During the indoor season which saw the men win their second straight MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championship and the women finish runner-up; the sprint squad set two School Records (W 60H, M 200m), won three MIAA event Championships (M&W 60H, M 60), and garnered 2 USTFCCCA all-region awards (M 60H, M 60).  The outdoor season saw the men’s team capture their first ever MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship, the sprint group contributed to that effort with four event champions (200, 110H, 400H & 4x100) and scoring at least one athlete or relay in the top three of every sprinting event. Additionally, 5 men’s athletes were recognized as USTFCCCA All-Region award winners (110H, 400H, 4x100). The outdoor season was capped off as sophomore Jake Gladieux captured the NCAA National Championship in the 400m Hurdles becoming the second National champion in Trine NCAA Division III history.

The 2019-20 season was abbreviated with the Outdoor Season being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During the Indoor season though Trine Sprinters & Hurdlers again saw success winning two MIAA Championships, one USTFCCCA All-Region honor and one athlete setting a new program record(60H). Trine sprinters & hurdlers again had a strong performance at the MIAA Indoor Championship especially on the men’s side where they amassed 71 of 159.5pts to help the program win their second MIAA Indoor Championship. In addition to success at the conference meet Trine’s male sprinters also appeared twice in the Top-15 of USTFCCCA Event Squad National rankings with the 60m group ranked ninth and the 200m group ranked 12^th.

The 2018-19 season was Ware’s first year overseeing the Sprints, Jumps & Hurdles group and saw athletes garner 3 MIAA Championships, 2 USTFCCCA All-Region honors, 2 NCAA Qualifiers and two NCAA All-Americans. Trine women’s sprinters & jumpers were a key part in winning the program’s first MIAA Indoor Conference Championship scoring 59 of the 155.5 pts. Trine sprinters & jumpers also set six program records in their first season with Ware.

As the Head Men’s & Women’s Track & Field coach at Fremont High School, Ware’s teams produced 8 conference champions, seven Sectional Champions, one Regional Champion, three state qualifiers, and one All-State performance. Ware's athletes earned accolades in a wide variety of events, ranging from vertical jumps to short sprints and distance.

Originally from Utica, Ohio, Ware attended Utica High School where he competed in cross country, track & field, and wrestling. He went on to attend Trine University, where he graduated with a B.S. in Computer Engineering in 2013.

Ware currently resides in Angola.
