Head Coach Danny Powell Talks on ESPN Radio About Trine Triathlon

ANGOLA, IND.  --  Trine University professor and Thunder women's triathlon coach, Danny Powell, recently talked with "Talkin' Sports" on ESPN 1380 AM - Fort Wayne radio and discussed the success of the Trine women's triathlon team this season along with the state of the program.

The Trine triathlon program began as a NCAA varsity sport this fall and has experienced success right from the start with two individuals qualifying for the NCAA National Meet as well as being able to compete as a team.  The Thunder have competed against top individuals in the sport, including athletes from all three NCAA Divisions (I, II, III), as well as Olympic and international competitors.

The Thunder triathlon team will travel to Tempe, Ariz. for the NCAA National Meet on Sunday, Nov. 5.  Arizona State University wills serve as hosts of the national meet with the race set to begin at 10:30 a.m.
