Former Thunder Volleyball Player earns Head Coaching Job

NEWMAN, Calif.-- A former Trine volleyball player has been named the head volleyball coach at her high school alma mater.

Carlee Felber, a 2014 graduate of Trine University, has been named the new head coach at Orestimba High School. According to a report by the West Side Index & Gustine-Press Standard, Felber will replace long-time head coach John Labno. Felber served as an assistant to Labno last season. She teaches math at Yolo Middle School in the Newman-Crows Landing Unified School District.

Felber was a defensive specialist and libero during her playing career at Trine. Felber played in 82 matches during her four year career, notching an average of 2.36 digs per set. She was a part of teams that produced 54 wins between 2010-13, including an 18-win campaign in 2012.

The Orestimba team is currently in the midst of summer drills prior to a mandatory "dead" period before fall practice begins.
