ANGOLA, Ind. – Junior Madison Munger (Indianapolis, Ind. / Franklin Central) has been named this week's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Volleyball Athlete of the Week.
This is the first time in her career that Munger has earned the award. She is also the first Thunder team player to take the award this season.
Munger continues to dominate the offensive side of the ball for the Thunder. This weekend she notched 53 kills for the team in three matches. Her best match came against Capital University where, in just three sets of work, she recorded 17 kills with a .244 hitting percentage.
In addition, Munger finished the week with 33 digs and three service aces.
The Thunder finished the weekend 2-1 behind Munger's effort. Sweeping Capital on Friday before splitting on Saturday with a loss to Hanover and a win over Franklin.
