ANGOLA, Ind. -- Junior Jacqueline Baughman (Lake Orion, Mich. / Lutheran Northwest) has been named this week's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Volleyball Specialist of the Week.
This is the second time in her career that Baughman has earned the award. It is the third time a member of the team has taken the weekly award this season, including Baughman once earlier this year as well.
In the team's first match of the week against Albion, Baughman finished with 15 digs and 44 assists. The assists total built her season total to 1,002. Later in the week while facing off with Saint Mary's College, Baughman recorded the first triple-double of her career as she recorded 10 kills, 36 assists and 18 digs.
The Thunder finished the regular season with a 17-12 overall record while going 5-3 in the MIAA, good enough to finish in a tie for third in the MIAA standings. They will start the MIAA Tournament by hosting Saint Mary's College on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The match is set to start at 7 p.m.
