The 2019 Academic All-District Volleyball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Baughman, an Exercise Science Pre Physical Therapy major, has exhibited excellence in the classroom by accumulating a 4.00 GPA in her college career. She has also been named to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll for the past two seasons.

On the court, Baughman had a breakout season for the Thunder. She passed the career milestone of 1,000 career assists in the latter portion of the season becoming just the 12th Thunder volleyball athlete to do so. She ended the season with 1,101 assists, a Trine University NCAA-era single-season record. In addition, she finished with 144 kills also a career-best.

She was named to the All-MIAA First Team for the first time in her career and earned two MIAA Volleyball Specialist of the Week awards this year.

Baughman becomes just the second Trine volleyball player to be named First Team Academic All-District®. The first came in 2014 when Taylor Rabel earned the honor.

First Team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 9-12.
