ANGOLA, Ind. – Madison Schweitzer has been announced as an assistant coach for the Trine University men's and women's volleyball teams as of January 2023.
"I am excited for Madison to join our coaching staff," Head Men's Volleyball Coach Will Dowdy said. "She brings a passion for the game that will help to push our program to the next level."
Schweitzer previously served as a graduate assistant at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. She helped the Cardinals to a record of 14-11 last season, good for fourth-place in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) and the team's first CCIW Tournament appearance since 2012.
Prior to her graduate work at North Central, she was an assistant and junior varsity coach at her alma mater, Lakeland University. In 2019, the Muskies were Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) co-champions with a 10-2 league record in the regular season. As a student-athlete, Schweitzer was named to the NACC All-Freshman Team in 2016 and ranked second in the conference in total assists and assists per set, and seventh in services aces.
