TIFFIN, Ohio -- Freshman Riley Morrison (Princeton, Texas / Princeton) had a strong first showing at the NCWWC National Tournament today, Saturday, March 6, finishing with a 1-2 record and just missing out on All-American status.
Morrison started the day with a loss but bounced back quickly picking up a victory by pin in her second match of the day. She then bowed out of the tournament after her third match loss. Her second loss came one round early in her search for All-American status.
"I am really proud of Riley for her performance this season," said head coach Amy Hildebrandt, "She met the adversity of the year head-on and her hard work has really paid off. I can not wait to see what she is able to accomplish over the next few years."
