ALBION, Mich. -- The Trine University women's wrestling sent a pair of competitors to the Albion Invite and returned home with two top-six finishes.
Riley Morrison was the highlight of the day for the team finishing runner up in the 109 weight class. She opened the day with a technical fall (10-0) and did the same in the second round (10-0). She then pinned her opponent at the 1:12 mark of her third round match. Her lone loss of the day came in the fourth round, but she bounced back with a final round technical fall (10-0) victory.
Ashton Francis finished sixth in the 170 weight class.
The team will next compete when they travel to the Indiana Tech Open on Saturday Dec. 11. The tournament is set to start at 9 a.m.
