ANGOLA, IND. -- For the second time this season, Trine University women's cross country runner, Evie Bultemeyer (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Cross Country "Runner of the Week."
Bultemeyer continues to have a strong season and finished as runner-up at the Louisville Cross Country Classic hosted by the University of Louisville (Ky.) among a field of 253 total runners. She ran a time of 21:21.0 in a race that was shortened from the scheduled 6k distance.
As a team, the Thunder placed 16th of 37 NCAA Division III squads who competed in the event.
Trine will travel to Oberlin, Ohio for the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday, Oct. 19. The women's race is slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.
