Women's Cross Country Finishes Second at Mount St. Joseph Invitational

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. -- The Trine University women's cross country tream finished second at the 2021 Mount St. Joseph Invitational on Friday, Sept. 17. The team had three runners finish in the top-five to highlight the event.

The team's top performer on the day was freshman Lydia Randolph (Jefferson, Ohio / Edgewood Senior) who finished with a time of 24:09.5 in second place individually. Coming in less than a minute behind her were a pair of other Trine student-athletes in the form of junior Amira Faulkner (Bellbrook, Ohio / Bellbrook) in fourth with a time of 24:45.7 and senior Chloe Brittain (Wheeler, Mich. / Breckenridge) who finished fifth with a time of 24:46.1.

The next pair of runners for the Thunder finished in the 12th and 13th spots. Freshman Chloe Goodrich (Burlington, Ind. / Carroll Jr./Sr.) came in with a time of 26:05.3 and classmate Ellie Warhoftig (The Colony, Texas / Reedy) finished at 26:09.0. The final runner to post a score for the team was freshman Hannah Parker (New Whiteland, Ind. / Whiteland Communcity) who finished in 19th position with a time of 27:08.0.

Overall the team posted a score of 36 in the event coming in nine points out of first-place Centre College.

The team will next comptete when they travel to the Huntington University Cross Country Course for the Hunting University Invitational on Friday, Oct. 1. The race is set to begin at 5:30 p.m.
