FREELAND, Mich. – For the seventh time in her Trine University women's cross country career, senior Evie Bultemeyer [Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead] has been named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Athlete of the Week.
Bultemeyer was victorious as an individual in her race on Saturday at the Louisville Classic at Tom Sawyer Park with a time of 21:32.3. Second place in the 6K Silver race crossed the finish line 17 seconds after Bultemeyer.
She led the Thunder women to a sixth-place team finish at the event in a loaded 37-team field.
The Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble is next on the schedule for the Trine women's cross country team. That meet will take place on Saturday, October 16.
