Thunder Hold on to Sixth in USTFCCCA Regional Rankings

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Trine University women's cross country team holds steady in the sixth spot in the week four United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll.

The Thunder stay ranked in the Great Lakes region with their recent success at the Louisville Classic.

Evie Bultemeyer [Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead] led the Thunder to a sixth-place finish at the event with an individual win by 17 seconds over second-place. Bultemeyer's performance was impressive enough to award her Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and NCAA DIII Athlete of the Week honors.

Also scoring for the Thunder, who went head-to-head with six nationally-ranked schools at the Louisville Classic, were Carol Haldeman [Syracuse, Ind. / Fairfield], Amira Faulkner [Bellbrook, Ohio / Bellbrook], Chloe Brittain [Wheeler, Mich. / Breckenridge] and Lydia Randolph [Jefferson, Ohio / Edgewood Senior].

Trine takes the course once again on Saturday, October 16 for the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble.
