NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Trine University women's cross country team has been placed 32nd in the week seven United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national poll.
Unfortunately, after a tough Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship event, the Thunder have slid down five spots in the rankings and are the sixth team in the Great Lakes Region to be listed. The North and East Regions also have six teams in the top 35, tying for the most by a single region.
In 10 days time at the Great Lakes Regional, Trine will have the opportunity to climb in the rankings versus five other nationally-ranked competitors. The event takes place on Saturday, November 13 at Blue River XC Course in Shelbyville, Indiana.
