USTFCCCA Unveils 2021 Cross Country All-Academic Teams and Athletes

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has released the Academic Awards for the 2021 cross country season. Both Trine University men's and women's cross country teams were named as USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams and six Thunder runners were tabbed as All-Academic Athletes.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.

On the women's side, Chloe Brittain [Wheeler, Mich. / Breckenridge], Evie Bultemeyer [Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead], Chloe Goodrich [Burlington, Ind. / Carroll], Carol Haldeman [Syracuse, Ind. / Fairfield] and Lydia Randolph [Jefferson, Ohio / Edgewood Senior] were mentioned as All-Academic Athletes. Noah Acker [Kendallville, Ind. / East Noble] was selected from the men's team as an All-Academic Athlete.

Under the direction of head coach Zach Raber, the Trine women's cross country team held a combined GPA of 3.654 and the men at 3.396.
