Women's Cross Country Takes the Course in Fort Wayne Friday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Trine University women's cross country team was in action close to home on Friday night at the Rumble in the Fort event, hosted by Purdue-Fort Wayne. The Thunder finished in second place with 36 points.

Lydia Randolph was once again the top collegiate finisher in the race with a 6K time of 22:56.7, the best time in her career. As the first collegiate student-athlete to complete the race, she scored minimum points for the team.

Behind her in 10th place overall was Brianna Medcalf. She crossed the finish line at 24:11.2. Other scoring members for the Thunder included Chloe Brittain in 11th with a time of 24:15.3, Ana Parker in 14th at 24:43.9 and Hannah Parker in 16th place at 24:56.4. Both Parker's also set career bests.

Trine takes the course again on Saturday, September 17 for the Yellowjacket XC Invitational at Genesee Valley Park in Rochester, New York.
