athletic facilities.

Bowling Alley

 Alumni Suite
Built at a cost of $13.7 million, the 74,840-square-foot, 3,500-seat facility is the new home for Trine University men’s and women’s basketball, as well as the university’s new esports and bowling teams. The building also includes a new clubhouse, banquet facilities and pro shop for Zollner Golf Course.

The MTI Center’s office spaces house the head golf professional, the assistant vice president of athletics, the assistant athletic director, the head and assistant coaches of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, the bowling coach and the esports director.

The alumni suite sits above the main basketball court and is where Trine President Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D., will host special guests as well as alumni. Just outside this area stands Trine’s Legends area, which features walk-in trophy cases and recognition of Trine’s Athletic Hall of Fame members.

The six-lane bowling alley serves as the new home for Trine’s bowling teams. Outside of practices and competitions, the bowling alley will be open to students. The alley features a QubicaAMF automatic scoring system and only the second set of blue pinstripe lanes in the country.

The center features an egaming arena for Trine’s esports teams. The arena is broken into two parts, the main area, where all the gamers play, and a separate lounge outside for anyone who wishes to watch the competitions. The main gaming area is fully equipped with gaming computers, tables and chairs. The lounge area contains soft seats as well as a flat-screen TV, which will broadcast the competitions for spectators to follow.

The banquet room will seat 250-300 people and is complete with sound and AV capabilities, including flat-screen TVs. A full bar and kitchen will be included in the new banquet room to better accommodate the needs of the university. Trine will host internal and external events there, such as pregame dinners open to the public, athletic recognitions and private events.

The 1,000-square-foot fitness center includes treadmills, ellipticals and other cardio equipment.

The Zollner Golf Course, which hosts some 13,000 rounds of golf for the public each year, has a new pro shop, club repair area, banquet room, kitchen and bar inside the MTI Center. A new patio area provides outdoor seating, and the putting green and driving range were upgraded during the MTI Center construction process.
