ANGOLA, IND.-- Take a look at the upcoming schedule and a brief look at the week ahead for Trine Thunder athletics.
Tuesday
Men's Golf: Trine at MIAA Jamboree at Olivet, 1 p.m.
The Jamboree at Olivet is the final round of the MIAA fall
season. The Thunder enter play in second place, 10-strokes behind
leader Hope. With a top-four finish, Trine would lock up a bid to
the MIAA National Qulifier in the spring.
Men's Soccer: Albion at Trine, 4 p.m.
The Britons enter the match at .500 in MIAA play. Trine will be
seeking their first conference win of the season.
Wednesday
Volleyball: Kalamazoo at Trine, 7 p.m.
The two teams meet for the second time this season, after Trine
earned a five-set victory in the first meeting. The Thunder enter
the week 6-3 in MIAA matches.
Women's Soccer: Trine at Kalamazoo, 7 p.m.
The Thunder open the second-half of MIAA play against the Hornets.
The Thunder earned a 1-0 victory in the first meeting between the
two teams this season.
Friday
Women's Golf: Trine at MIAA Championships, 1 p.m.
Friday's round will be the next-to-last round of the MIAA season.
The Thunder enter the final weekend of the season in fourth place
in the conference standings.
Volleyball: Trine at UMASS-Boston, 3 p.m.
The Thunder travel to Boston for a weekend, non-conference
tournament. They open play against the host-Beacons, who are
receiving votes in the AVCA Top 25 poll.
Volleyball: Trine vs. Colby-Sawyer, 5 p.m.
Next up for Thunder volleyball is another stiff test in the
Chargers, who enter the week 14-5 overall.
Saturday
Volleyball: Trine vs. Emerson, 10 a.m.
Play continues in Boston as the Thunder face Emerson, out of the
ECAC. The Lions enter the week 12-7 overall.
Women's Soccer: Calvin at Trine, 12 p.m.
The Thunder will look for the season-sweep of Calvin after
defeating the Knights 1-0 in Grand Rapids earlier this season.
Women's Golf: Trine at MIAA Championships, 1 p.m.
The MIAA season concludes with the Championship round at Bedford
Valley Golf Course in Battle Creek, Mich.
Football: Trine at Olivet, 2 p.m.
Each team is riding high after earning victories in the
MIAA-opener. The two teams played an overtime-thriller last year,
which Trine pulled out 47-41 in the extra stanza. The Thunder are
coming off a 26-23 double-OT victory over Alma on Homecoming. Trine
is 1-1 in road contests this season. The Comets opened MIAA-play
with a 28-21 victory over Adrian. Olivet is 1-1 at home this
season.
Volleyball: Trine vs. Roger Williams, 4 p.m.
Play in Boston concludes with a match against the Hawks, who enter
the week with an 11-4 record.
Men's Soccer: Trine at Hope, 7 p.m.
The Thunder open the second half of MIAA play against the Flying
Dutchmen. Hope defeated Trine 1-0 in overtime in the first meeting
between the two teams this season.
