ANGOLA, IND.-- Take a look at the upcoming schedule for Trine Thunder athletics and a brief look at the week ahead.
Tuesday
Men's Soccer: Trine at Alma, 4 p.m.
The Thunder will look to build on the momentum gained from a 2-0
victory over Adrian on Saturday. The Scots took the first meeting
between the two teams earlier this season, with a 1-0 victory at
Weaver Field.
Wednesday
Volleyball: Trine at Alma, 6:30 p.m.
The Scots will be looking to avenge a five-set loss at the hands
of the Thunder in the first meeting this fall. Trine is in third
place in the MIAA, and leads Alma by one game in the conference
standings.
Saturday
Women's Soccer: Trine at Olivet, 12 p.m.
The two teams battled to a scoreless tie in their first meeting
this season. Thunder keeper Skyler Reed recently became the leader
in single-season shutouts in the Division-III era at Trine.
Football: Albion at Trine, 1 p.m.
The Thunder enter the game as the only unbeaten in MIAA-play,
though they are coming off a 49-46 non-conference loss to Concordia
(WI). The team set a school-record for total offense in the game.
The Britons are one game back in the conference standings, sitting
at 2-1 in league play after a loss to Adrian this past Saturday.
Albion leads the all-time series 8-6, but the teams have been an
even 5-5 since Trine joined the MIAA.
Men's Soccer: Calvin at Trine, 2:30 p.m.
The Thunder will host the Knights on Senior Day. Trine will honor
seniors Chris Stewart, Zach Taranto, Karston Shephard, Ryan
Goodhew, Mac Green and David Gannon prior to the match. Calvin is
ranked 12th in the nation at the time of writing.
