Williams, a Sport Management major, has been an Undergraduate Assistant Coach for Trine for the last 3 years. From 2017-2019 he assisted both the ACHA D2 and ACHA D3 teams. 

For the 2019-2020 season, Williams has worked exclusively with the NCAA Division III men's hockey team and has been instrumental in helping the team reach their first-ever Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup Playoff berth.

Prior to Trine, Williams played one season in Williston, N.D. at the junior college level where he was named team captain as a Freshman. Prior to college, Williams spent three years playing junior hockey in Boise, Idaho where he won back to back championships (2016 & 2017) in the Western States Hockey League (WSHL). He was the team captain for both championships and was named league MVP in 2016. 

Kyle grew up playing his minor hockey with the Pittsburgh Hornets / Pens Elite organization, where his team became the Mid-West Elite Hockey league (MWEHL) champions in 2013.
