ANGOLA, Ind. -- Today's baseball game between Trine and Heidelberg has been cancelled due to weather and field conditions.
The two teams had been scheduled to play at 4 p.m. at Jannen Field. The game will not be rescheduled.
Trine returns to action Friday, Apr. 7 when the Thunder host Alma for a MIAA doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. The games will feature the Trine Tailgate, an event featuring a tailgate dinner courtesy Bon Appetit. Free t-shirts and hats will be given away.
The tailgate dinner will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to Jannen Field and Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic Recreation Center. Other events include activities and games, as well as a chance to win a Trine hockey jersey.
Trine is off to a 12-5 start, the team's best ever. The Thunder carry a five game winning-streak into Friday's matchup.
