ANGOLA, Ind.-- The Trine men's golf team won the AC Eddy Invitational, contest Tuesday on the links of Zollner Golf Course.
Corey Bremigan (Russia, Ohio / Russia) and Austin Tevlin (Edwardsburg, Mich. / Edwardsburg) each finished with even-par 71s to lead the Thunder. Bremigan was the only player in the tournament to finish even on par-3 holes and carded three birdies. Tevlin birdied two holes on his way to turning in a new season-best round. The duo led Trine to finish with a team score of 293, nine-over par. The Thunder won the tournament by 12 strokes over second-place Bethel College.

Connor Dwyer (Coldwater, Mich. / Coldwater) finished third among Thunder golfers and fourth overall with a two-over 73. Dwyer also notched three birdies on the day. He leads the team in scoring average this season.
Cody Knapp (Liberty Center, Ohio / Liberty Center) rounded out Trine's top four, tying for sixth with a 78. Grant Klopfenstein (Howell, Mich. / Hartland) notched the lone eagle in the tournament to round out the efforts for the first Thunder group of golfers.
Brandon Turner (Pioneer, Ohio / North Central) led a second group of Trine golfers to a third-place finish with a 78. The group finished with a score of 317 (+33).
The Thunder travel to the Calvin Invitational next Tuesday, Apr. 19 for one of the last two tune-ups before the MIAA National Qualifier. The tournament begins at 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Run Golf Club in Pierson, Mich.
