WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-- Trine's Tyler Bourdo placed seventh in the nation in the 400 M Dash at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships Saturday.
Bourdo (Plainwell, Mich./Delton Kellogg) capped off the indoor season by running a time of 49.38 seconds to finish seventh. The senior earned All-America honors in the event for the second-consecutive year by running the seventh-best qualifying time in the preliminaries of the event yesterday. The top eight preliminary times moved on to today's championship race. Bourdo is now a four-time All-American in the 400 M including both indoor and outdoor honors.
The NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships were hosted by Roanoke College at JDL Fast Track. Bourdo was one of 15 performers to compete in the 400 M during the championship weekend.
The national championships concluded the indoor season. Bourdo and the rest of the Thunder open the outdoor season Saturday, Mar. 28 at Vanderbilt University's Black and Gold Meet.
