ANGOLA, Ind.-- Trine's Bree Fuller has been named to the 2015 Capital One Academic All-District® Softball Teams.
Fuller (Hubbardston, Mich./Fulton) was named to the Academic All-District® team for the third-straight year. The senior is a two-time Academic All-American®. This season, Fuller earned recognition on the All-MIAA First-Team after going undefeated in the circle in conference play. She never lost a regular-season game in conference play in her career, notching a 24-0 record. The exercise science major enters this weekend's NCAA Regionals with a 15-1 record to go along with a 2.07 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 88 innings pitched.
Fuller will go down as one of the most decorated players in school-history. She is a three-time All-MIAA performer, including the 2014 MIAA Most Valuable Pitcher, and earned NFCA All-Region honors last season. Fuller threw the first perfect game in program history and has a career record of 62-6.
Fuller advances to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
The 2015 Capital One Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Capital One has been the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams programs since 2011.
