WABASH, IND.-- The Trine women's golf team placed sixth in the Manchester University Fall Invitational, held Saturday at Honeywell Golf Club.
The Thunder totaled a score of 370 as a team. Amy Worthington (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) tied for 14th overall to lead Trine, shooting an 87. The junior has carded Trine's top score at both of the team's events so far this season. Britni Geilow led Hope to the team championship as the individual medalist, finishing with a 78. The Flying Dutchmen finished with an overall score of 325.

Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview) finished one-stroke behind Worthington to tie for 18th overall. Jamie Frost (St. John, Ind./Hanover Central), Katherine Guertin (Worthington, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) and Brooke Johnson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) rounded out Trine golfers in the event.
The Thunder will compete in their final non-MIAA event of the fall next Friday-Saturday, Sep. 19-20 when they travel to the UW-Whitewater Fall Invitational.
