MARSHALL, Mich.-- The Trine women's golf team is in seventh place after round one of the Olivet Fall Invitational, held Friday at Medalist Golf Club.
Thunder golfers combined for a score of 362. Senior Amy Worthington (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) is tied for sixth overall after shooting a 10-over 82. Worthington is coming off a second-place finish in Carthage College's Shootout on the Border. Hope College sits atop the team leaderboard with a score of 328 (+40). Hope's Nicole Meyer is the tournament's individual leader with a four-over 76.

Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview) is second among Trine golfers with a 91. Claire Barnett (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) and Mikala Freeland (Danville, Ind./Danville Community) rounded out Trine's top four.
Jaime Frost (St. John, Ind./Hanover Central) rounded out the Thunder group competing as a team. Ryleigh Gordon (Okemos, Mich./Okemos) is competing as an individual in the tournament and carded a 90 in the first round.
The Olivet Fall Invitational concludes with round two tomorrow.
