BATTLE CREEK, Mich.-- A pair of Trine women's golfers wrapped up All-MIAA honors as the Trine women's golf team placed fourth in the final round of the MIAA Championship, held Saturday at Bedford Valley Golf Course.

Amy Worthington (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) and Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview) each earned All-MIAA Second Team honors. The honor was the third all-conference nod of each player's collegiate career. Overall, Thunder golfers combined for a 334 to place fourth in the final round and lock up a fourth-place finish in the conference. Trine has earned a chance to compete in the MIAA National Qualifier in the spring, the team will have a chance to earn an automatic-qualifying berth in the national championships.

Worthington fired an 83 in today's final round to finish seventh in the conference standings. The senior finished with an 82 average in MIAA rounds. Worthington earned All-MIAA First Team honors the last two seasons and will wrap up her MIAA career with three all-league performances.

DeBelly carded a 79 in the final round to wrap up a ninth-place finish in the individual standings. DeBelly earned All-MIAA Second Team honors for the third-consecutive season. The junior averaged a score of 83.33 in conference rounds this fall.

Freshman Claire Barnett (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) fired an 83 in today's round to finish third among Thunder golfers. Mikala Freeland (Danville, Ind./Danville Community) and Ryleigh Gordon (Okemos, Mich./Okemos) rounded out Trine's team performers.

The MIAA Championship concluded the fall season for the Thunder. Trine will compete with Olivet, Hope and Saint Mary's in the three-round, 54-hole MIAA National Qualifier in the spring. The winner receives an automatic-qualifying berth in the NCAA Division III National Championships.
