ANGOLA, Ind.-- Trine wrestlers Mack Green and Brandon Preston are ranked in the national top 10 of their respective weight classes in the latest NWCA rankings, released Friday.
Green (Buchanan, Mich./Buchanan) remains the no. 2-ranked heavyweight in the nation, behind only Ohio Northern's Cody Lovejoy. Green will carry a 31-3 record into the postseason, which begins with the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional. The senior will look for a top-three finish to secure a second-consecutive bid to the National Championships. Last season, Green placed fifth in the nation to earn All-America honors.
Preston (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) re-enters the top 10 for the first time since early in the season, coming in at ninth in this week's poll. The senior has bounced back from an early-season injury to notch a 17-6 overall record. Preston will be looking to qualify for his third-consecutive trip to the National Championships with a top-three finish in the Midwest Regional. Preston went 1-2 at last season's national meet.

Neither wrestler is expected to compete in tomorrow's Mid-States Invitational at Olivet College, as the duo prepare to make postseason runs. The rest of the Thunder wrestlers will face opponents from five other schools in the tournament, which begins at 8:30 a.m.
The NCAA Midwest Regional will be held Saturday, Feb. 28 on the campus of Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Ind. Matches are slated to begin at 9 a.m.
