FREELAND, Mich.-- Trine's Jaime McCarrell has been named to the All-MIAA Second Team, the conference announced Wednesday.
McCarrell (Jackson, Mich./Jackson) is one of four midfielders being honored on the second team. The senior scored one goal and dished out an assist while starting all 18 matches for the Thunder this season. McCarrell also served an important leadership role as a team captain this season. This is the first all-conference nod of McCarrell's collegiate career.
McCarrell has provided Trine with steady and consistent play over the past four seasons, starting every match in which she has played. She totaled five goals and three assists in her career, including two goals each in the 2013 and 2014 campaigns.
Two of McCarrell's career goals were game-winners. One of those game-winners came on Senior Day, as the Thunder earned a 2-1 victory over Adrian in the final home match for this season's senior class.
