ANGOLA, IND. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) office has officially announced the bracket for the 2018 MIAA Women's Tennis Tournament. The conference has also posted the online tournament central on their website.
Trine University makes their first appearance in the tournament since 2007. It is the first time the team has made the narrowed four-team field which began in the 2012 season.
The Thunder will participate as the No. 4 seed in the tournament. They will travel to face No. 1 seed, Hope College in the opening round. The Flying Dutch finished the season with an 11-8 overall record and a perfect 8-0 record in the MIAA to capture the No. 1 seed.
Trine was defeated by Hope in the regular season matchup by the score of 9-0.
The Thunder finished the season 11-9 overall and 4-4 in the MIAA. They will travel to Holland, Mich. for the opening round match which is scheduled for Thursday, May 3, starting at noon.
