NEW ORLEANS, LA. -- Sophomore Trine University indoor track & field student-athlete Evie Bultemeyer (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) earned All-Region honors in two events by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Bultemeyer earned All-Region in both the mile and 800-meter runs. She has posted the top time in the region in the 800m run so far this season with a mark of 2:12.09 which was nine one-hundreths of a second behind the school record. Bultemeyer recorded the time at the Hillsdale (Mich.) College Wide-Track Classic in early February.
In the mile, Bultemeyer ranks third in the region with a season-best time of 4:54.06 which came at the Grand Valley State (Mich.) University "Big Meet" on Feb. 8.
Bultemeyer left her mark in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association record books as a two-event champion at the 2019 MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championship that included a conference record time in the 800-meter of 2:17.20. She then went on to capture the 3000-meter run with a winning and school-record time of 10:33.70. In addition, she placed second in the one-mile run after crossing the finish line in a time of 5:18.52. Following the championship, Bultemeyer earned All-MIAA honors in both the 800m run and 3000m run and was named the "Most Valuable Track" performer.
