Trine had the overall individual winner of the event in junior Evie Bultemeyer (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) who posted a time of 21:29.0 and set a school record for the 6k that surpassed Kyla Binfet's previous mark of 22:00.8.  Freshman Alli Smith (Temperance, Mich./Bedford Senior) was second on the team to finish with a time of 23:52.1 and placed 69th overall.

The sophomore duo of Chloe Brittian (Wheeler, Mich./Breckenridge) and Elizabeth Lohman (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll) finished back-to-back respectively in 93rd and 94th place with the times of 24:15.0 and 24:15.6.

To finish off the varsity team were freshman Amira Faulkner (Bellbrook, Ohio/Bellbrook) and junior Miranda Coombs (Lexington, Mich./Croswell-Lexington) with the times of 25:05.1 and 26:01.9, respectively.

"I was very pleased with the women's team today," said Head Coach Zach Raber.  "Six out of seven varsity women ran a personal best today. Evie was outstanding up front to win, but all of the girls looked great.  Alli Smith had a fantastic first 6k as a freshman to finish second on the team.  Our future is very bright."

Up next, the team will compete at the Ray Bullock Invitational hosted by Taylor University in Upland, Ind on Friday Sept. 20, 2019 at 5 pm.
