Trine Youth Hockey to Hold Informational Meeting

Trine Youth Hockey to Hold Informational Meeting

ANGOLA — An informational meeting for parents and volunteers interested in the youth hockey programs to be held at Trine University beginning in August will be held May 10.

The meeting will start at 7 p.m. in Fabiani Theatre inside the Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Center on the Trine University campus.

Amy Alt, youth hockey program director, and youth coaches will be available to discuss upcoming programs and opportunities. Sign-up sheets for volunteers and information about how to become a USA Hockey-certified coach also will be available.

Programming featuring USA Hockey-certified coaches will begin after the Thunder Ice Arena is completed. Alt said programs will include Try Hockey for Free Day, Learn to Skate, Power Skating and Fundamentals of Hockey.

All equipment, including helmet, skates and sticks, will be provided free for programs.

"We're excited to let people know about our youth hockey programs, and we are looking for volunteers to help," said Alt.

For more information, call Alt at (260) 665-4325 or email alta@trine.edu.
