Athletics Announces Hiring of New Bowling Center Manager

ANGOLA, Ind. – Trine University Athletic Director Matt Land has announced the hiring of Michael Jachcinski as the department's Bowling Center Manager and assistant bowling coach.

"We are thrilled to have Michael as a member of our bowling staff," said Land, "His lifelong contact with bowling will be a great asset for our student-athletes and the MTI bowling center."

Jachcinski began his background with bowling from birth, with his father reaching semiprofessional status as a bowler. Jachcinski was a high-level competitor in high school achieving All-State status both his junior and senior years. He currently holds the second highest average in Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) history.

"I am excited to be a part of this wonderful campus," said Jachcinski, " Bowling is a huge part of my life and I am ecstatic to share my love for the sport with others on campus while making a contribution to Trine Bowling."

Jachcinski attended Adrian College where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree and competed on the bowling team. Currently, he is a member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) and continues to compete in high-level regional tournaments.
