ADRIAN, Mich. - The Trine University men’s golf team ended their fall season on a high note as they won the eighth and final MIAA Jamboree of the season with a team score of 295. The Thunder finished runner-up for the MIAA Championship for the second straight season with a total score of 2462, 19 total strokes behind Hope.
Played at the par-71, 6,284 yard Lenawee Country Club, the Thunder finished three shots ahead of runner-up Olivet.
Junior Pat Wolcott (Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) won co-medalist honors shooting an even-par 71 to finish in a tie with Adrian’s Mac Boucher. Freshman Chris Broman (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) finished in a tie for fourth carding a 1-over-par 72. Senior Max Niehans (Nashville, Ind./Brown County) carded a round of 4-over-par 75 to finish in a tie for 14th. Noland Eli (Genoa, Ohio/Genoa), a sophomore, finished the day with a round of 6-over-par 77 to finish in a tie for 24th. Rounding out the team scoring for the Thunder was senior Todd Wisler (Bryan, Ohio/Bryan) finishing with a round of 9-over-par 80 to finish in a tie for 38th.
Playing as an individual was senior Matt Warrener (Kendalville, Ind./East Noble) finishing his round with an 83, tying for 47th.
