Men's Golf Remains Second in Conference Standings with One Round to Play
April 26, 2024OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. – After day one of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships, the Trine University men’s golf team is third on the leaderboard. The conference leaders Hope College extended their advantage on the rest of the league with a score of 297 on Friday. The Adrian College Bulldogs are currently second through 18 holes at 303 and the Thunder shot a 310. Trine remains second in the league standings but need to pick up 23 strokes to catch up with the Flying Dutch. -
Trine Ties for Third at AC Eddy Invitational; Schnipke Medalist
April 16, 2024ANGOLA, Ind. – In Tuesday’s AC Eddy Invitational at Zollner Golf Course, the Trine University men’s golf team finished in a tie for third as a team, but sophomore Carter Schnipke was an individual medalist after an even-par 71 was the best round recorded. Huntington University shot a 293 as a team to claim the team trophy, while the Thunder had a 302.

MIAA Selects Schnipke as Athlete of the Week
April 15, 2024HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Sophomore Carter Schnipke was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Lourdes Invitational. The Trine University men’s golf team has now won the weekly award for two straight weeks, and it is the fourth time this season a Trine men’s golfer has been tabbed Athlete of the Week.

April 09, 2024OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. – The Trine University men’s golf team was victorious at the Lourdes Invitational on Tuesday in a field over 13 teams. The Thunder fired a 299 on the afternoon, besting second-place Siena Heights University by nine strokes.

Adrian College was the team champion with a score of 301, one stroke ahead of Hope College. Calvin University (307) and the Trine University men’s golf team (308) were third and fourth on the leaderboard.

Both schools fired rounds of 291 on Tuesday to take the early advantage in the league standings.

Men's Golf Conquers the Field at Irish Hills Invitational
September 16, 2023TECUMSEH, Mich. – After beating every team in the field by at least 13 strokes on Saturday, the Trine University men’s golf team was able to win the Irish Hills Invitational on Saturday. The Thunder shot 292 as a team, with the next best squad firing a 305. In total, Trine won the 36-hole event with a combined 595 (303-292), 15 strokes ahead of Calvin University.

The Thunder tied for second-place as a team and senior Mark Civanich fired a career-low 66 (5-under) to claim the individual medalist honor.

September 02, 2023BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Trine University men’s golf team concluded play at their season-opening 36-hole tournament, the Lou Collins Invitational at Bedford Valley Country Club on Saturday. The Thunder were able to move up a spot to fourth in the team standings and three members of the team were named All-Tournament participants.

Trine Men's Golf Unveils 2023 Fall Tournament Schedule
July 13, 2023ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men’s golf team has announced the 2023 fall season schedule. The biggest change to the calendar for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) men’s golf teams is moving the conference championship event to the spring season. The teams will still compete in four conference rounds during the fall, but the championship tournament will take place in the spring of 2024.
