HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Kramer Zastrow of the Trine University men's lacrosse team has been named this weeks Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Athlete of the Week, after he led the way to two lopsided victories during the week.
This is the first time this season that a Thunder student-athlete has won the award and the first time in his career for Zastrow.
The Midland, Mich. native finished the week with an impressive 13 points including nine goals and four assists. He led the team in both points and goals, while finishing second in assists. So far this season, despite missing the first three games, the freshman leads the team with 15 goals and is second with 20 points.
Zastrow started the week with four goals in the team's 17-1 win over visiting Centenary College of Louisiana. He followed up with a huge game against Spalding University, recording five goals and four assists for nine points, as Trine pulled away to a 26-3 win.
The Thunder improved to 5-5 overall following the two wins. They have just one game scheduled for this week, traveling to face Hanover College on Friday, March 29. That game is set to start at 2 p.m.
