ROCHESTER, N.Y. – At the 2023 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Jake Gladieux was in action in the 400-meter hurdle preliminary event, representing the Trine University men's track and field team.
Gladieux was able to qualify for the event championships with a new season-best time of 52.75 seconds. The senior finished fourth in heat number two, the fastest heat of the evening, and he was .01 away from the third-place scorer in that race. His time put him sixth on the leaderboard and stood up in the third and final prelim for an eighth-place spot.
The finals in the 400-meter hurdles takes place on Saturday, May 27 at 3:15 p.m. Gladieux will look for his second outdoor national championship in the event in that race. He will also take part in the 110-meter hurdle preliminary event on Friday, May 26 beginning at 5 p.m.
